Rock - Peperite
A view over a band of blue-grey rock , a very fine Rock (glassy texture )
with Peperite therein .
Y Penrhyn in the distance.
Located on the shorter of the 2 tongues of rock projecting into the sea at Pen Anglas .
Peperite is a pyroclastic rock , a mixture of sedimentary and magma-derived
materials , formed by the interaction of hot lava and wet unconsolidated sediment.
Peperite is named after a town in France
called Peper, near which characteristic deposits of peperite are found.
