
The remains of a forest drowned by rising sea levels 6,000 years ago - peat deposits / trees -
similar to the remains at Marros can be seen on Morfa Bychan Beach.
The Storms of 2014 scoured the beach and exposed more of the forest including a large area
( 60m x 60m) of the Submerged Forest near the shingle bank on the west side of the beach .
