The Start / End of the Glamorgan Heritage Coast

A view over the Afon Ogwr (Ogmore River) , where it joins the Sea ,
to the Sand Dunes of Merthyr Mawr .
Sand covered this area during the Iron Age (2500-1900 years ago) ,
with the present dune system established by the 1500's.
