View over the cove at the Knave .
The Knave is a conical rock commanding the inlet west of "Horse Hill Cliff".
Iron age promontory fort is above, roughly triangular in shape , with two lines of banks
and ditches defending the northern side . Pottery found here suggests the fort was built by
people who came from Somerset in the 1st century A.D.
The cave - Deborah's Hole (SS 4338.8629) is near the striking headland as is
Ogof Ffynnon Wyntog (Deborah's Spring - Closed , for safety, with a boulder).
Surfers are just out of view , a fair walk (15mins) , is required to reach this location.
