Aberaeron
Aberaeron

Aberaeron is a rare example of a town in Wales that was planned from the outset.
The town as seen today began in 1807 when the Rev Alban Thomas - Jones Gwynne
obtained a private Act of Parliament to rebuild the harbour.
The piers were completed by 1809 and the harbour was fully completed in 1816 .
The harbour dries at LW and is only accessible 1.5 hours either side of HW.
Subsequently the town was planned in the regency style around a large open square - named Alban Square .
