Some way from the Coast , north of the A 4118.
The Long Cairn of Parc Le Breos Cwm (Parc Cwm Long Cairn) ,
also called Giants Grave , is in a fine setting on narrow valley floor.
A partially restored Neolithic Chambered Long Barrow (3500BC) ,
of the Cotswold-Severn group, with an elaborate forecourt neatly revetted with local stone.
Much of the cairn has been removed and the Chamber is fully exposed.
Parc Le Breos is a wedge-shape , about 22m long , 6m wide to the north and 13m wide to
the South , with a burial chamber accessed through an opening in a bell-shaped forecourt.
Radiocarbon dating indicate the tomb was in use from 3800 BC, for 300 to 800 years. Human remains recovered from the chamber represent an estimated
minimum of 40 individuals.
