A 7 / 9th Century Stone Inscribed with a Cross within a circle , can be found
inside the ruins of St Non's Chapel.
The stone was found nearby.
The Chapel is believed to be built on the birthplace of St David and may have been
built inside the site of an ancient stone circle.
Here, according to Legend ,in about 500 AD Non the daughter of Cynyr
( Prince of Pembrokeshire ) , gave birth to her son St David , Patron Saint of Wales,
during a thunderstorm .
The chapel (14th century or earlier), was was one of the main sites visited by Christian
Pilgrims , two pilgrimages to St Davids were held in the medieval period to
equal one to Rome , it fell into disuse after the Reformation .
