Motte and Bailey - New Moat ( nr. Maenclochog).
The most noticeable remains of a Motte and Bailey Castle at New Motte
is a tree covered Motte.
The mound within a ditch is some 5m high , 40m in diameter ,
with a flat top 7.0m in diameter
A footpath passes close to New Moat .
