Yr Eifl ,also known as ‘The Rivals’, has three adjoining Peaks
'The Rivals’ is an anglicised form of Yr Eifl, meaning 'the forks' (gafl) in Welsh,
as seen from a distance the Peaks resemble the prongs of a Fork.
The three sculptured stones form a memorial to the miners who worked
the granite Quarries (Chwarel's) of Cae’r Nant, Nant and Carreg y Llam.
