Porth Simdde
The Afon Saint has cut a steep valley to the sea at Porth Simdde.
Rock armour and concrete walls protect Aberdaron from the sea.
A Barite mine at Porth Simdde was operating from 1883 to 1917.
The barytes, in small pockets, was used as a white pigment for textiles, paper, and paint.
