2 - Abersoch to Aberdaron
Unconformity
The cliffs further to the west show Sandstones of the Cambrian 'Maentwrog Formation'
overlying the dark grey Mudstones and Siltstones of the Cambrian 'Nant-y-Big Formation'
Between the formations is an Unconformity - the material from this period,
the Middle to Late Cambrian , has eroded - leaving a gap in the deposition history.
