The Coast Path heads seaward and passes the Dinas Dinlle Hillfort which dominates
the low-lying coastal landscape in this area.
The hill at Dinas Dinlle is the remnant of a push moraine extending westwards into Caernarfon Bay ,
truncated by coastal retreat.
Exposed in the cliff face below the Hillfort , the drift sediments are a complex series
of Irish Sea and Welsh tills with associated sands and gravels, extensively folded and faulted.
