The Church renovations in 1884 uncovered the Icthus Stone , now on the west wall of the Church.
With its simple carvings of the Christian symbols of a fish (the Greek for fish,
‘ichthus’, was an acrostic for Jesus Christ)
and a palm tree (signifying victory over death).
An Anglesey stone initially used as a Standing Stone , then inscribed by Early Christians around C10.
