
Looking down on Penrhyn Point / Fairbourne Spit
The narrow-gauge Fairbourne & Barmouth Railway (built in 1895) runs the length of the spit
from Fairbourne village to the mouth of the Mawddach Estuary,
The 2 mile long line was rebuilt in 1986 to a 12.25 inch gauge.
A pedestrian ferry runs from Penrhyn Point to Barmouth (10am-4pm everyday)
