A footpath off The Coast Path descends to Furnace on the A487.
The Blast Furnace dates from 1755 to 1810.
After 1810 the building may have been used as a sawmill or a fulling mill .
The existing 30ft. Water Wheel replaced a smaller one used to operate
the bellows of the Blast Furnace.
A channel diverted from above the impressive Waterfall on the Afon Einion drove the huge waterwheel
