From the Snowdon Viewpoint on the A498 a fine view of the Snowdon mountain range.
Y Lliwedd (898m), snow capped Snowdon (1085m/3560ft), then snowy Garnedd Ugain (1065m)
and Crib Goch (923m/3028ft).
On the left is a pipeline from Llyn Llydaw to the Cwm Dyli Hydroelectric Power Station.
The station was built in 1905 by the Porthmadog, Beddgelert and South Snowdon Railway Company.
The railway venture failed and the company was renamed the North Wales Power Company.
A Ruined farmstead / enclosures and the Afon Glaslyn to the right.
