Ty Mawr Standing Stone

Sometimes referred to as the Trefignath Standing Stone
because of its close proximity to the Trefignath burial chambers.
At 2.67m high, 1.2m wide and 0.4m thick, the stone is notable for its unusual shape - very spiral in effect .
Probably erected during the Bronze Age. Located on Holy Island.
In the distance is the stump of Kingsland Windmill (1825) - Sails removed in 1939.

The Gate to the stone , in the photo , can be reached from the Road or the FP.
