Castell Mawr / Castle Rock
A large Carboniferous limestone rock that dominates the western shore of Red Wharf Bay
The limestone and sandstone strata , displays genuine karst development
in a series of small caves and solutional cavities.
Probably the site of an Iron Age fort , the northern end of the rock was quarried.
