An explosive store for the nearby Holyhead Breakwater Quarries.
The quarries supplied stone (7 million tons) for the 1.5 mile (2.39km) Holyhead Breakwater , built 1846/1873.
After the Breakwater was constructed, the Quarry became a Brickworks (closed 1974)
It is now the site of the Holyhead Breakwater Country Park (1990).
