One of the magnificent Lions that are no longer visible from the bridge.

The Road section of the Bridge has obscured part of the Lions head !
the railway line limits the photo possibilities.
There are the four magnificent limestone Lions, part of the original Robert Stephenson Railway Bridge.
Two Lions on each side of the River, almost 4 metres high and sitting on plinths of equal height.
