Britannia Bridge - 1
Originally designed and built by Robert Stephenson as a tubular bridge of wrought iron
rectangular box-section spans for carrying rail traffic.Fire damaged on 23 may 1970.
The Current Bridge was rebuilt in stages from 1972 to 1980 , with a road deck above the railway track.
