Southern Anchor House
A view from the Bridge Masters House - the bridges- Southern Anchor House -
of the Menai Suspension Bridge. The Wales Coast Path passes through the house.
Telford's original iron chains were replaced by steel ones between 1938 and 1940
in order to strengthen the bridge and raise the vehicle weight limit.
