Bryn Celli Ddu - the Mound in the Dark Grove
A Neolithic Chambered Tomb beneath a mound measuring up to 85ft / 26m in diameter ,
with partially restored entrance passage and mound.
A long narrow passage leads to an octagonal chamber which
during the summer solstice is illuminated by shafts of light.
On the site of an early Neolithic Period Henge (bank and ditch) enclosing a circle of stones.
