From 1925-39 the most distinctive buildings were built in the Arts and Crafts style.
From 1954-76 the buildings were Classical or Palladian in style .
Several buildings were salvaged from demolition sites.
Most of the buildings at Portmeirion are about two-thirds the size of the buildings
they were modelled on , to save time and materials , but made to look full-size
