St Michael Church , Ynys
St Michael Church , Ynys / Eglwys Llanfihangel-y-Traethau translates as "St Michael of the beaches'.
When it was founded the Church would have stood on a rocky islet , surrounded by marshes.
Near the entrance to the Church , in an area dominated by Yew trees ,
is a 6ft high carved stone post with a C12 Latin inscription.
