The Suspension bridge (1826) was the first crossing over the Conwy River.
Replacing an unreliable ferry service, it made movement of goods and people in the region easier.
The Suspension Bridge was joined by a Railway Bridge in 1848 and a Road Bridge in 1958.
On the hilltop is Bodysgallen Hall (NT) and on the right the Bryn Pydew Obelisk , a modern folly from 1992.
