The Prestatyn Promenade ends here.
The more natural Coast starts with Barkby Beach backed by Gronant Dunes NR.
Large areas of sand and sand dunes all the way to Point of Ayr on the Dee Estuary.
If walking the beach , rather than the Coast Path, - the Prestatyn Gutter , a river ,
crosses the beach and can be impossible to cross at times.
The boardwalk from the viewpoint on Gronant Dunes NR , allows the Coast Path to be rejoined.
