Cwmorthin Terrace
A view over a row of quarry cottages built by the Cwmorthin Quarry company.
5 were built in the 1870's with the 8 built in the 1860's in the worst condition.
Lyn Cwmorthin with Slate Tips from the Quarry behind.
The Terrace was also known as Tai Llyn (Houses of the Lake) .Last resident left in 1935.
The Slate Trail can be followed , from Tanygrisiau's highest Car Park (SH 682 454)
at the end of steep narrow lane - Ffordd Cwmorthin .
Cwmorthin Waterfall can be seen near the car Park .
Also Waterfalls by the side of the Slate Trail.
