From Llanddwn Island the Path follows the Dunes overlooking Malltraeth Bay / Traeth Penrhos Beach - a fine sandy beach /
or take the route along the forest edge.Ceifi Estuary / Malltraeth Sands , an area of Saltmarsh and Sands is reached then
Newborough Forest's Northern car park and 'The Malltraeth Cob'.
Malltraeth Pool is a nature reserve managed by the RSPB on the north side of the Cob.
The causeway known as the Cob (1780's) was the main component in a scheme, 1788-1812 ,
to reclaim 4,200 acres of land known as Malltraeth Marsh in a large inlet at Malltraeth.
