Tywyn Promenade
The first promenade was built in the late 19th century,
as a sea defence and to encourage visitors to come to Tywyn.
Groynes are a feature of the beach at Tywyn. The sandy beach stretches from north of Tywyn
down to the Dovey Estuary and Harbour of Aberdyfi , several miles to the south.
