A popular beauty spot since Victorian times.
The Afon Gain, a tributary of the Afon Mawddach , falls 20m over a sheer cliff into a terraced series of rocks .

Location:
A unsigned lane , just north of Ganllwyd , near the road signs , on the A470, heads into the Forest. Park 2km along at Tyddyn Gwlddys Car Park.
Walk along the lane to the waterfall on the left. Rhaeadr Mawddach waterfall is nearby but difficult to see because of a modern
Hydro Electric Installation and remains associated with the Gwynfynydd Gold Mine (closed 1999)
