Hafod y Porth Mine lies in Cwm y Bleiddiau (Valley of the Wolves) on the side of Yr Aran above Nant Gwynant.
Worked since at least 1755 , never very profitable , after 1860 it was owned by 5 different companies , each raising money from speculators.
In 1890 the mine was abandoned after changing hands for the last time. The buildings, although roofless, are in a very good state of preservation.

From Craflyn Hall (NT) Car Park follow the red discs , passing Crafllwyn Waterfall and the side path to Dinas Emrys .
Hafod y Porth is signed. The Mine can also be reached from the Watkins Path.
