
Leaving Flint , the Coast Path follows the A 548 road and then the B5129 for about 2 miles , before joing the Afon Dyfrdwy / River Dee .
There are a number of Wooden Wharves / Landing Stages , just about surviving along this part of the River , Railway sidings ran along some .
Important for ferry traffic across the river as well commercial traffic along it , e.g bricks and coal carried by sailing ships and steamers , before the Bridges were built.
The Hawarden Bridge in the distance. This view , and the next 2 , are on the Northern bank . The coast path crosses the river by the Jubilee Bridge ( Hawarden can be used as well ).
