Duke of Lancaster / River Dee

After some walking near A 548 road , the Coast Path then runs along the banks of the Afon Dyfrdwy / River Dee .
An unusual sight to see is this British Railways steamer, the TSS Duke of Lancaster (1955), built by Harland & Wolff in Belfast.
The ship was moved to its new home in Llannerch-y-Mor in1979 and became known as the Fun Ship.
It operated as an arcade and bar for a number of years, closing in 2004. The ship's future looks uncertain.
Extensive flood defences built with Rock Armour along this section of coast.
