Banded Wedge Shell - Black Rock Sands
The coloured shells of Banded Wedge Shell ( Donax Vittatus ) show up well on this large beach .
Clockwise from the top - Rayed Trough Shell, Necklace Shell, Auger Shell,
Rayed Artemis, Limpet, Common Mussel.

You can take your car on to the west end of this beach (A fee is payable between April and September).
On a low tide the beach has a vast expanse of soft, golden sand stretching for 3.2km, backed by Dunes.
