
A view from the footpath above Fall Bay to "Lewes Castle", on the east side of the bay .
A raised beach is in evidence here , 10m above the present sea level , from the last
interglacial Period ("Ipswichian") .
The "Patella" Beach comprises calcite-cemented pebbles and shelly sand
, the most common shell is Limpet (Patella).
