1.6 - BROAD HAVEN (SOUTH)- ST GOVAN'S CHAPEL
A flat platform - a Raised Beach - is to the east side of Broad Haven Beach
About 130,000 to 125,000 years ago - the Ipswichian Interglacial Period
rising sea levels caused by melting of Ice sheets created new wave cut
platforms with beach deposits.
These deposits are now 2-6 metres above present high water.
