View Over Ogof Golchfa ( Washing Place Cave ) to a rugged coastline with
a wave cut rock platform and a raised beach above .
About 130,000 to 125,000 years ago - the Ipswichian Interglacial Period - rising sea levels
caused by melting of Ice sheets created new wave cut platforms with beach deposits.
These deposits are now 2-6 metres above present high water.
About 3.5m of raised beach deposits are above the platform.
