In the centre of St Florence / the cottage has disappeared, leaving just the chimney.
"The earliest large round Chimneys in the County are found in castles, but in the course
of time prosperous merchants and farmers built residences with impressive Chimneys
on the front wall or on the gable end. Some were conical , others cylindrical.
Chimneys were part of the architectural style of medieval and early modern Pembrokeshire.
Other isolated Chimneys can be found at Carew , Lamphey( near Village Hall ),
Penally ( near the road to Abbey Hotel - Penally Nature Trail ).
