A wide band of Limestone fragments in a cementing material - ( Breccia ) ,
near the fault line with the limestone cliffs at Bullslaughter Bay .
One Possible Theory for this feature :-
Rain / streams dissolve out caverns , in the limestone , the sides and roof collapse ...
and fill with angular limestone fragments in a sandy matrix / calcite cement sometimes stained Red , as here ??.
Or :-
A Fault Breccia resulting from the grinding action of two fault blocks
as they slide past each other . The broken fragments have become cemented together
through the action of water ???
Or :
An accumulation of desert rubble during the Triassic Period.
Present marine erosion is now cutting in to the former Karstic Landscape ,
and exposing this rock type.
