The garden is part of the much larger Colby Estate / John Colby was a 19th-century
industrialist / Mining took place in the early 1800s / coal and iron ore was loaded
onto boats at Amroth. The early 19th-century house is not open.
This beautiful garden has a fine collection of over 500 species of spring flowering
rhododendron and azaleas . Later highlights are the summer hydrangeas and
autumn foliage.
