Razor Shells
"Ensis Siliqua" - The Pod Razor.
The razor shell lives in the sand on the lower shore , using its powerful foot
to dig to a safe depth , lying buried with only the siphons protruding from their burrow.
It's siphons pull in water from which the animal strains the minute planktonic
organisms on which it feeds.
