A view of small section of Salt Marsh from North Hill Tor.
The salt marshs cover about 4000 acres of land within the Burry Estuary.
Sheep / horses / cattle graze on this tidal marsh and gain their main nourishment
from this unique pasture, which consists of saltmarsh grasses, samphire, sorrel,
sea lavender and thrift.
Horses walk in with the tide , sheep have to be brought in or they will drown.
