Berges Island
View from The Bulwark (Llanmadoc Hill) over farmland as it slopes down to Berges Island -
the wooded northern end of a sand dune system that projects into the Estuary and separates Whiteford Sands ( Lighthouse here ) from the North Gower Coast Salt Marsh.
Once a Tidal Island , present day erosion may make it one again.
