Gower Heritage Coast
On the beach at the northern end of Whiteford Bay , a submerged forest drowned about
6,000 years old , makes an appearance .
As the 'Ice Age' came to an end rising sea levels , flooded low coastal areas covering
forests in the process.
Similar exposures can also be found at nearby Broughton Bay
