A tiny village of just a few houses and a public house nestling in the shelted eastward facing side of Trwyn Porth Dinllaen
Porthdinllaen was originally a fishing port, based around a natural harbour sheltered by a headland from all but a north-easterly wind
The only such haven on the Llyn Peninsula, it has been used for many centuries of trading, and as a place to run to for shelter in a storm.
The building on the rocky projection was part of the old coal yard where coal for shipping was stored.
