Trwyn Du Lighthouse is a 22m high tower with the light having a range of 12nm.
In this photo 'Prince Madog' , the Bangor University research boat is passing by.
Puffin Island / Ynys Seiriol about half a mile offshore, is the ninth-largest island off the Welsh Coast.
A hermitage was established by St Seriol around the 6th Century,
and there are remains of a 12th-Century monastery on the island.
