Looking down on the Lime Kiln , 3 storey Lighthouse and Watchhouse (1853).
Raw Limestone came into the harbour as ships ballast . Processed in the Kiln , the
lime was used in Cooper Smelting /on Farm Land / Mortar for Building...
The Watchhouse was used by the hobblers who were responsible for towing vessels
in and out of harbour in rowing boats.
