6 - Trefor to Bangor
Britannia Bridge
The seaweed covered shoreline can be accessed near here .
Built by Robert Stephenson as a tubular bridge
of wrought iron rectangular box-section spans for carrying rail traffic.
Fire damaged in may 1970 , open lattice steel arches now span between the towers.
The Railway started again in 1972. A road deck was built 1977/1980 above the railway line.
