Penmaenmawr Stone Circle - 3
Another view of the Bronze Age site.
So many of the stones have been disturbed it is difficult to tell if this is a Circle.
Excavations yielded two 3 sided stone cists , containing a cremation.
There is a Ring Cairn - Cefn Coch - (278 ) , to the Southwest at SH 7184 7466.
The Penmaenmawr area provided a source of Augite Granophyre Rock - ideal for making Stone Axes.
